Real Church – what does it mean for me?

During the Autumn months we will be exploring what Real Church means for me.  It is about routine?  Is it some Christians just do because they’re Christians?  Or is is a place where we worship, care, encourage and have a sense of belonging?

Come along and join us for this challenging series.

Prayer Connections

“Pray without ceasing”.  That’s what we’re encouraged to do in the Bible. When was the last time you invited God into your world? When you do, he promises to show up. And he brings a host of gifts: joy, patience, resilience. Anxieties come, but they don’t stick. Fears surface but depart. Struggles come, for sure. But so does God. Prayer is not a privilege for the pious, not the art of a chosen few. Prayer is simply a heartfelt conversation between God and his child. Join us for an hour of prayer.  If you can’t make it on a Sunday evening, why not join us on a Monday night, 7.00pm to 8.00pm.  Or, if you want us as a church to prayer for you or for someone else, let us know.

All Age Family Services

Did you know that we have an All Age Family Service on the first Sunday of the month (check out our programme for exceptions).  Focus is very much on the children and the Sunday School often participates in the service.  We also have a supervised Creche for those younger children just outside the Main Hall so that you can easily be called if your child needs you.

Why not come along at 11.20am and join us for coffee before the All Age Service begins?

FOODBANK – Bangor NI

1 in 5 people are living below the poverty line in the UK.

Today, in Bangor, there are families struggling to put food on the table.  For people on low incomes, a sudden crisis – redundancy, benefit delay or even and unexpected bill – can often mean going hungry.  Every day parents skip meals to feed their children and people are forced to chose between paying their rent and eating.

Bangor NI Foodbank provides emergency food and support to local people in crisis. For more information, go to our FoodBank Bangor page here
